Vibrio cholerae MLST Databases

This site uses two linked databases powered by the BIGSdb genomics platform. The sequence definition database contains allele sequence and MLST profile definitions whereas the isolate database contains provenance and epidemiological information. Further details about BIGSdb can be found in Jolley & Maiden 2010, BMC Bioinformatics 11:595.

Please note that we will be upgrading the operating system on the primary database server on Thursday 22 November. Access to the databases will be maintained from a backup server, but offline jobs and access to the automated submission system will be disabled while the work is carried out.

The non O1/O139 MLST scheme was developed by Ruiting Lan, Sophie Octavia and colleagues at the University of New South Wales, Australia. This is curated by Sophie Octavia.

The O1/O139 MLST scheme was developed by Amol Kanampalliwar and colleagues in the laboratory of Dr. D. V. Singh at the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar, India.
