This MLST scheme was developed by Jonatan Martín-Rodríguez and colleagues at the Centre for Translational Microbiome Research, Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. It is described in Martín-Rodríguez et al. 2019 FEMS Microbiol Ecol 95:fiy210. The scheme was developed for the characterisation of S. algae and closely related species such as S. chilikensis and S. indica.
