Chlamydiales MLST Databases

This site uses two linked databases powered by the BIGSdb genomics platform. The sequence definition database contains allele sequence and MLST profile definitions whereas the isolate database contains provenance and epidemiological information. Further details about BIGSdb can be found in Jolley & Maiden 2010, BMC Bioinformatics 11:595.

Please note that we will be upgrading the operating system on the primary database server on Thursday 22 November. Access to the databases will be maintained from a backup server, but offline jobs and access to the automated submission system will be disabled while the work is carried out.

These databases support two MLST schemes: one for the Chlamydiales order and one specific for C. trachomatis. These are described in Pannekoek et al. (2008) BMC Microbiol 8:42 and Dean et al. (2009) Emerg Infect Dis 15:1385-94.

Database curated by Yvonne Pannekoek.

Citing the database
