Burkholderia pseudomallei MLST Databases

This site uses two linked databases powered by the BIGSdb genomics platform. The sequence definition database contains allele sequence and MLST profile definitions whereas the isolate database contains provenance and epidemiological information. Further details about BIGSdb can be found in Jolley & Maiden 2010, BMC Bioinformatics 11:595.

This database has migrated from www.mlst.net. Please note that information regarding creation dates and submitters of allele and profile data submitted prior to the migration date (2016-02-01) are not accurate as these were not previously recorded.

This MLST scheme is described in Godoy et al. 2003. Multilocus sequence typing and evolutionary relationships among the causative agents of melioidosis and glanders, Burkholderia pseudomallei and Burkholderia mallei. J Clin Microbiol 41:2068-2079.

Alternative primers for this scheme are described in Price et al. 2016. Improved multilocus sequence typing of Burkholderia pseudomallei and closely related species. J Med Microbiol 65:992-7.
