Acinetobacter baumannii MLST Databases

The Acinetobacter baumannii MLST website contains two linked databases - one for allelic profiles and sequences, the other for isolate information. This structure offers advantages over a single database system. Further details can be found here.

Please note: Large-scale modifications have been made to the database resulting in allele and profile designation changes. These changes were necessary to incorporate sequence data from previously published works. Authors should, therefore, check whether sequence and profile designations used in manuscripts recently submitted or in preparation have changed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

This scheme is described in Bartual et al. Development of a multilocus sequence typing scheme for characterization of clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii. J Clin Microbiol 2005, 43:4382-4390.

This MLST scheme was developed by Sergio G. Bartual in the laboratory of Francisco Rodríguez-Valera (Miguel Hernandez, Alicante, Spain) and in close collaboration with Harald Seifert (University of Cologne, Germany).

Website and database managed by Keith Jolley, curated by Sergio G. Bartual. The primary Acinetobacter baumannii MLST website is hosted at The Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research, University of Oxford, UK.
