The PubMLST Pneumococcal Genome Library (PGL) is a curated collection of published genomes hosted within the PubMLST Streptococcus pneumoniae database.

We assessed the quality of PGL genomes using a combination of metrics (rMLST species id; assembly size; GC content; number of contigs; N₅₀; number of Ns; number of gaps; MLST and rMLST profiles). Based on these checks, we found that the quality of PGL genomes is variable.

Users can search the PGL based on genome quality using the Assembly Checks dropdown in the search form. Access the subset of PGL genomes that passed all quality checks, or alternatively, follow the Search Database link below to access the entire PGL and apply your own search criteria.
