Searching by cited reference

The mlstdbNet software can retrieve information from PubMed. If a PubMed id number is entered into one of the reference fields of the isolate table, the citation details are retrieved from PubMed and stored in a local database. This enables collections of isolates that are described in a publication to be retrieved. Select 'query by cited publication' from the main contents page. A table listing all the papers cited in the database will be displayed (showing full citation and title), along with the number of isolates in the group. Click the 'display' button next to each citation to display the isolate information.

Papers by individual authors can be selected by choosing an author in the drop-down list box.
