Data analysis
Following a search, a number of options are available for analysis of the dataset.
Breakdown
At the bottom of the results table, there will be a button called 'Breakdown dataset'. This shows the dataset graphically broken down by every field, allele and polymorphism frequencies. If the database server has ChartDirector software installed, the graphical breakdown charts will be used, otherwise tables will be displayed.

Advanced breakdown
The button marked 'advanced breakdown' allows you to drill down into the data. Clicking the button takes you to a page with two options - 'breakdown of dataset by two fields' and 'frequency of field combinations'.

Breakdown of dataset by two fields
This option allows you to generate a table showing the number of isolates displaying values of two attributes, e.g. country against clonal complex. You can also choose whether to display absolute values, percentages, or both, and how the percentage is calculated (by row, by column, or by dataset). If the number of values are sufficiently small and the database server has the ChartDirector software installed, charts will be drawn representing the data.

Frequency of field combinations
The other option allows you to select any number of fields to determine the number and percentage of unique combinations. This may be useful for instance if you want to look at the repertoire combinations of surface antigens. Output is in the form of a table.
