START2 - Load dataset

You can load a MLST dataset by selecting 'File → Open or Enter → Dataset'. If you have already loaded profile definitions, a dataset containing a single example of all known STs may have been generated and will be displayed.

To enter a new dataset, select the required scheme in the top drop-down listbox, put the name of the dataset (can be anything) into the 'New dataset' text box and click the 'Add dataset' button.

enter new dataset

An empty table will then be displayed.

If some of the data are missing, e.g. a profile but no ST or vice-versa, and you have loaded profile definitions it's possible to fill in the missing data automatically using the 'Autofill' function.
