PubMLST.org

If you have developed or are in the process of developing an MLST scheme for any organism, we may be able to help you.

Hosting

We are happy to host MLST databases for you. Please contact Keith Jolley for advice on how to proceed. The databases are run using the highly configurable mlstdbNet software on Linux servers, offering extremely fast and versatile querying. The databases can be curated using a password protected web interface which allows the easy uploading of batch data. In order to provide a robust service to the public health and research communities, the website and databases are mirrored to servers in different geographical locations, so that if the primary site is unavailable for any reason the mirrors will still be online.

Database software

Alternatively you may wish to set up your own site using the mlstdbNet software. This is published under an open source licence and is freely available for download. We can offer assistance in setting up and configuring the software.

Mirroring

If you set up your own public MLST database using the mlstdbNet software, we can also provide a mirroring service so that your data are accessible at all times. Alternatively, if you would like to act as an official mirror for the pubmlst.org website and its databases, please see the instructions for mirroring (PDF).

Contact us

Please contact Keith Jolley if you have any comments or suggestions concerning the website and the databases. The software is continually being improved but new functionality is generally developed when people request it - so if it doesn't currently do what you want, please let us know!

The primary PubMLST site is hosted at The Peter Medawar Building for Pathogen Research, University of Oxford, UK.  The site is developed and maintained by Keith Jolley. Web standards validation - Valid: XHTML | CSS
